Liberty was engaged by Waiward Steel LP and Six Pointe properties to facilitate the Construction Management of their Surrey office complex. This new office complex facility showcases a modern functional design that is tailored to the surrounding commercial context and setting. The design utilized colour to distinguish the overall visual massing of the building. By featuring a brilliant red wall component and reveal lines formed in the tilt-up panels, Liberty was able to provide simple, cost-effective aesthetic appeal and interest. Traditional concrete tilt-panels were used for the exterior structure in combination with conventional steel floor and roof systems to complete the building.
The building was constructed energy efficient and held high standards for in-door air quality to ensure a comfortable working environment for the occupants desired usage. Spray foam insulation to interior walls improved the energy efficiency of the building and reduced thermal bridging between the heated spaces and tilt-panel walls.
The project consists of 20,000 square feet of floor area, which includes:
• central lobby
• curved concrete finished stairwell
• elevator
• two floors of administration space
The surrounding site is designated for tenant parking, landscaping, and green space for future expansion of the building.
