Project Description
The project consists of 9,500 square feet of floor area, which includes two double apparatus bays and two floors of administration space. This design features heritage style architectural elements that integrate with the community and camouflage the concrete hose tower. Contrasting roof slopes and wall faces give the building a heritage feel while modern design provides adequate natural lighting and operational efficiency. During the construction of the firehall, a 20′ diameter Japanese maple tree was removed, preserved, and relocated to a prominent location on site. The tree was an important heritage feature for the fire hall and the community.
